I hope we all do major protests everywhere demanding they let us have a 10 km inflatable artificial mountain that goes inside of the Atlantic Ocean so it pulls the clouds to the mountain and it rains and snows on top of the mountain and when we want the weather back to normal we just deflate the mountain. In America there are 3 km mountains in regions where it snows on top of the mountain and in other regions it is 40 degrees because mountains control temperature The only way to control the weather is with mountains and unless we make an inflatable artificial mountains to control the weather we will always have these weather problems which can be fixed if we make an inflatable artificial mountain

Does the UK get tornadoes? I told a group of people there that we got hit with one in my area and people acted like it was just another storm. I could not tell if they were being apathetic, or just didn't get it.

Am glad it warmed up a bit out there after I left. People were saying it was colder than normal so I am sure the warm-up made them happy. :) I was in Wales for the first time in my life from 7-17 June and I loved it. The cooler weather and clouds felt comfortable to me. Here in New York the temperature ranges are too harsh on my body. My plan is to try and find a job in Wales as a teaching assistant in the next couple of years, as the overcast, cooler weather is easier on me sensory-wise. I have a brain disease which renders me sensitive to light and heat, meaning my chronic pain gets worse in it. I love walking in the mountains, it's so refreshing. You live in a beautiful country!

Like the Wikipedia page, this is not quite correct. A mackerel sky is so named because it resembles the markings on a mackerel fish, not because it resembles fish scales. Otherwise it may just as well be called cod sky, or perch sky. Search for 'mackerel fish' images, and it will be clear why it is called mackerel sky.
